Summary

PlingPling is an app where cyclists keep each other up to date on cycling conditions in Sweden. It only works if what people post is true and fair.

By signing in you accept these terms. Reports are public, so only post what helps other cyclists. Offensive, threatening, illegal or deliberately false content is not tolerated: we remove it and may suspend accounts that break the rules.

Who provides the app

Travalytics AB, 559527-2468, Raffinadgatan 2, 222 35 Lund, Sweden.

Your account

  • You can use the app without an account to see the map and reports. To report, vote and save routes, you sign in with a code sent to your email.
  • You must be at least 13 years old.
  • Your account is personal. Do not let anyone else use it.
  • You can delete your account at any time.

What you may post

Reports on current conditions on cycle routes: hazards, roadworks, closures, potholes, snow, slippery surfaces and the like, with a short note if you want. Vote honestly on whether other people's reports are still accurate.

What is not allowed

  • Offensive, hateful, threatening or harassing content
  • Sexual or violent content
  • Anything illegal or that encourages crime
  • Personal information about others, such as names, licence plates or where someone lives
  • Deliberately false or misleading reports
  • Advertising, spam or links unrelated to the report
  • Attempts to disrupt the app, get around its limits or access other people's data

Flagging and blocking

  • Flag a report that breaks the rules from the menu on the report. It is hidden for you at once and sent to us for review.
  • Block the person who wrote a report from the menu on the report, if you do not want to see more from them. You will then see none of their reports, and they are not told that you blocked them. You can lift your blocks under Account.
  • If several users flag the same report, it is hidden for everyone until we have reviewed it.
  • You can also email plingpling@travalytics.io.

How we handle flagged content

We review flagged content as soon as we can, normally within 24 hours. If several users flag the same report, it is hidden for everyone automatically, but a person on our team always reviews it afterwards and makes the decision. Content that breaks these terms is removed. For repeated or serious violations we suspend the account, temporarily or permanently. We may report illegal content to the police. Some words are blocked automatically when a report is created.

If we remove your report or suspend your account, you get an email with the reason. If you think we got it wrong, reply to the email or write to plingpling@travalytics.io within six months and we will review the decision again.

Your content

You own what you write. By posting a report you give us the right to store, show and moderate it in the app while it is active, and to use it in anonymised, aggregated form, for example in statistics on cycling conditions that may be shared with municipalities. How long reports are kept is set out in the privacy policy.

Ride at your own risk

Reports come from other users and may be wrong, out of date or missing. Map layers such as salt-swept routes come from municipalities and show planned maintenance, not the state of the road right now. Always trust what you see yourself and follow the traffic rules. Do not use the app in a way that takes your attention away from traffic.

Liability

The app is free and provided as is. We do our best to keep it working and accurate, but cannot promise it is always available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damage caused by relying on content in the app.

Changes to these terms

The date at the top is updated when the terms change. Significant changes are also announced in the app.

If the app changes or is discontinued

We develop the app continuously and may change, add or remove features. If we discontinue the app, we will announce it in the app well in advance and then delete accounts and content as set out in the privacy policy.

Governing law

Swedish law applies to these terms. Disputes are settled by the Swedish courts. This does not affect any rights you have under mandatory consumer law where you live.
